Mr. Francis Arackal, the conceptualizer and the Managing Director of Pleasant Hills Resort, divides his time between his hometown – Kerala, and the US where he works as a QC personnel in the Oil & Gas sector. His wife, Mrs. Lilly Ceni Francis, the Executive Director of the property hails from Fort Kochi, the coastal tourist destination in Kerala. They complement each other as she executes her husband’s meticulously laid-out ideas to build a budget friendly resort with pool in Munnar and make their dream a reality. They are blessed with three children – Awin, Jency, and Adil. 
The couple scouted for their dreamland in a peaceful mountain destination in Kerala to build their habitat close to nature. They finally zeroed in on a peaceful village in Rajakkad - a hill station with divine beauty, pleasant climate, and fresh air, which falls on the Munnar-Kumily highway.  Here they bought two acres of land on a hilltop surrounded by beautiful hillocks and the nearby cardamom plantation spread out in an area of more than 16 acres of land.
Together, they decided to build a boutique resort and have their house in the same compound, thereby sharing their joy with tourists looking for an offbeat location near Munnar. In 2020, Pleasant Hill Resort was ready to occupy and now it is one of the best resort with pool in munnar  .
